I ordered one of these lights and it arrived with a broken glass shade, so I got a refund. The second light I ordered had a broken shade and a broken rib (it's cast aluminum, I think). I asked for a replacement, which arrived a few weeks later.I wanted to replace a builder-grade, single-light wall sconce with something modern-ish. My requirements were that it be relatively inexpensive, support a much higher light output, and be attractive. The finish has some imperfections, but it looks good from a few feet on out, which is good enough for me. Installation was easy. There is a gasket for the mounting of the main fixture to the utility adapter plate. There's another gasket for the shade; this gasket it a little more of a pain to mate the shade to once the light is mounted. I put a couple dimmable 100W equivalent A19/A21 LED bulbs in the fixture (which is controlled with a Z-wave dimmer). The bulbs aren't completely omnidirectional, so that affects the light cast a bit, but it still looks good. The bulb sockets are vertically opposed, so the light output is concentrated at the ends (in my case). A more expensive fixture would probably have hidden screws to attach the ribbed cover to the base box - as it is, this light has exposed Phillips screws between some of the ribs. The finish on the screw heads is pretty delicate, so it's best to either use a plastic-tipped screwdriver, or to tape the tip of a regular screwdriver. As you may have been able to gather, the manufacturer's packaging isn't super effective if it's used as the shipping carton to your door. One out of three made it to my house intact. However, I'm happy with the light's performance and appearance.
