Make an inexpensive umbrella look really high end.This is a great product ,met or exceeded my expectationsVery easy to install ,looks amazingGreat color temperature and brighter than I imaginedThe clips fit the arms of my umbrella perfectlyMade my $20 food store umbrella look like a million bucks ,Aside from the awkwardly dangling button to turn it on it looks like the lights are part of the umbrella from the factoryMy only complaints are the dangling switch buttonI was thinking of drilling a hole in my umbrella pole and mounting it inside butt I am afraid the drill bit will slip and I will end up scratching up the poleAn IR remote would have been niceMy other minor gripe is that the battery is non standard ,it only has one battery of an unknown type not AA or AAA , I would have preferred it to have 2 or 3 AA or AAA instead in case it needs to be replacedButt I must say that I am amazed at how bright the lights are and how long the battery lasts for such a small single batteryLastly I will also say that the solar/battery box umbrella cap replacement does not seem to tighten you can just keep turning it and it does not get tightHas not seemed to negatively affect the umbrella so far though ,hasn't fallen off yet and I bring my umbrella in very frequently when it rainsBut other than those minor gripes this this thing is exactly what I wanted at a good priceI love how they made the umbrella cap the housing for the battery and the solar panelIf I had one suggestion it would be to make another model with an IR remote option maybe not a standard credit card type remote but a ring that you can clip around the umbrella pole with a single buttonAnd have the IR receiver on the wiring with the lights at the topThis way the remote is fixed to the pole with the option of slidot it up or down to your liking for mounting ,the IR emitter would be pointing up at the canopy and the receiver would be up top where the wire that all the otheright string wires connect to that go down the armsThese umbrella LED string lights provide just the right amount of light to create a comfortable and relaxed ambience on your deck or patio table. They are just bright enough to see things on the table while not interfering with the mood of the evening. They look delightful when you gaze up at them.Installation may require some creativity as the solar cell may not fit the top of your particular umbrella and the clips that hold the LEDs to the ribs of your umbrella may not be a perfect fit. In my case I drilled a hole in the exiting umbrella topper and inserted the solar cell in to it. As far a the clips, I applied some friction tape to the umbrella ribs to prevent the clips from sliding off. as the clips were not quite deep enough to fully engage.If you are handy and can alter the installation to your particular umbrella these lights will not disappoint. If however you are not prepared to adapt the installation to your particular umbrella, you will likely be frustrated,unhappy and disappointed.Seems a little pricey but it works great. Solar pad screws on and replaces the plastic cap on most market umbrellas that you find in the seasonal section of drug stores and supermarkets. Just to be sure I would recommend you check to see if the cap on your umbrella screws off before ordering this one. Installation is a little bit tricky but only took about 30 minutes. Light is a warm white and not overly bright and lit the area under the umbrella with a candle light atmosphere.Love the look after we got the lights up and running. Needed to do some adjustments in order to install. The clips did not fit our umbrella ribs so needed to use zip ties also the solar unit needed to be installed onto the top of our umbrella due to the screw end was smaller than the opening. All in all the look is awesome, just a little extra work.SUPER EASY TO INSTALL!!! Hardest part was getting the ladder out of the garage. Took maybe 15 minutes to install. I was able to snake the power cable from the light string through the center canopy hole that the cap screws in through for a clean look and did not have to take the canopy off of the ribs to slide the clips on they snap on with ease. The only issue I had was the labeling on the individual strings was mislabeled, the number 2 sticker was on the cable for the on/off button instead of the second string in line. Nothing a little common sense couldn't figure out. Oh and my wife loves them, sets a nice ambiance.Love these. Had an issue with them not working and the seller sent out a new set that works perfectly. Thank you!Easy Install in 15 minutes. Lots of folks complain that they don't mate correctly, so you can get an idea of the shape to see if they're ideal for your situation.
