It is not soft, but does not feel fake or plastic. It is really pretty, but due to where it fits on our patio the table can not fit directly in to the center of the circle. (if this would bug you). The blue is really pretty and somewhat muted. It spread out well and only the tightest end has had a tough time going flat. I have not had to clean it since it is covered and I've only had it for a short time.Took over a week for all the ripples to leave as it comes very tightly curled but happy with results. Have senior dog who has had accidents in the past so I replaced with an easier to clean ( and started her on diapers!)color just as shown in photo.This rug is exactly what we were looking for. It's well made, weather resistant, soft, durable and beautiful on our front patio.This is just what I was looking for! Beautiful rug! Not really heavy but exactly what I wanted. When you unpack it, you’ll need to unroll and roll the other way. I left it over night. It will lay perfectly flat. The colors are perfect, just like pictures.
