We started having unwanted guests hanging around our shop at night... where we keep some expensive construction equipment. We had a 150 watt outdoor light fixture on the front of the building and the owner wouldn't let us put up anything bigger. We got him to agree to let us put up a nice light pole... (expensive) and we did the install on that pole. We did have to get some help from an electrician for our. install, but if we had mounted it to the building we could have done it ourself. Its basic wiring 101... We had to get a permit to install the pole and run power to to it... the county wanted an electrician to pull the permit. About the light... It puts out a LOT of light. You do not want to moon this to a garage at your house unless it faces away from the house and you do not have neighbors living close. They'll hate you.The electrician used a few extra pieces to mountie to the pole... not sure if they were actually needed. SO far, the light has not failed to come on at dusk and off at dawn. The light faces the area where we park and the large unfolding bay door. We had a camera there but it didn't work that well in low light... now the images and video is crystal clear. So far, we have seen a decrease in unwanted stragglers and that alone is worth th cost of the light. We will most likely order another light from this seller and add it to the pole. This light is just as bright as the light the building owner had installed on the front of the lot, performs exactly the same... he paid 3X as much... We are pleased with our purchase
