This light is made of a composite material that Quoizel calls "coastal armor". It is designed to last near the ocean (where metal and plastic lights fall apart in only a few years). Perfect for my needs. Look up "Quoizel Coastal Armor" for more information and for which Quoizel lights are made from this composite. My light is new, so I will see how it holds up. My neighbor is very happy with the one he installed several years ago.Caution. This light is made of plastic. No metal. If that's your thing, go for it. But for $150, it's not worth it to me.Very happy with these. installed easily. Looks great.Purchased to replace metal Quoizel Outdoor Lanterns. Short description says bronze. Summary description says materials are glass and metal. Written description mentions "composite". But in this case, "composite" means "plastic".What a rip off first the light is very cheaply made. It would not stand a year outside in the elements. Then when I returned the item they kept $20. The item was 99.99 plus tax and I received $80.54. Will never buy another outside light again!!!I would have given 0 stars if I could.
